We left our 10 month-old Labrador Jasper at Perfect
Pooch for 5 weeks while we were away on vacation, and came
back to find a happy, healthy and obedient dog who had
evidently been very well looked after.
We were wary of leaving Jasper at a ’professional’ kennel
where dogs are tied up or kept in cages; and taking him
along with us would have been impractical. After reading
about Sanam and Suraj’s pet sitting services in the
newspaper and visiting them, we felt this was the ideal
place for our sociable and energetic dog who was still a
puppy in many ways. Roaming free in their flat, with Magic
and Laika and other boarders for company, and the confident
handling of Suraj and Sanam, was just what he needed.
Though we were initially worried about how Jasper would
adjust to a strange place, we were reassured by frequent sms
updates from Sanam that all was well. He was fed a healthy
diet (probably healthier than he had at home!), taken for
long walks, given his vitamin and calcium drops regularly,
and got to play to his heart’s content. When we returned we
found he had put on weight, his coat was shining, and he
looked bright and cheerful. His earlier hyperactivity has
also toned down in the Karunakars’ care and he is much
better-behaved than before. Of course he went mad with
excitement when he saw us and enthusiastically showed off
his new friends to us.
Having entrusted Jasper to Sanam and Suraj for this long
stretch and seen the results, I now consult them on his diet
and behavior every now and then. Perfect Pooch is a
wonderful home-away-from-home for a beloved pet. If you are
planning to go out of town and are concerned about your
dog’s well-being in your absence, here’s a place where s/he
will be in safe hands. I’m really grateful to Sanam and
Suraj for looking after Jasper with such commitment, and
enabling us to enjoy our holiday without any worries about
our pooch. |

no idea where to keep her until we came across your site and
they contacted you.Sanam what I loved the most was your
excellent service and your prompt replies to my emails.
Thank-you for taking such good care of my baby. You are
truly the best !! You took care of my pet as if it were your
own, what more can a dog owner ask for. I must say you are
doing an excellent job out there and I am so glad to have
had the chance to correspond with you. Keep up the Great

My six year Labrador JOY is the light of our house. We raised him like a child and he rules over us today. When we had to leave him behind and go out of my town , my husband and I were in a fix as we did not want him caged or chained and to be supervised by strangers who did not particularly care for canine emotions. So when I came across PERFECT POOCH, a pet sitting agency run by the dog loving Sanam Karunakar, I was relieved.
We met at Sanam's apartment at Grant Road and Joy took to her and her family immediately. This was obvious as he made himself comfortable after checking out her house and acknowledging her well behaved and trained pets. Joy had a pleasant stay, healthy food and regular walks. When we returned to take him home , he wagged excitedly, trying to convey the pleasant change he had with this new family. Perfect Pooch is indeed an answer to every dog owner's prayer. Thanks Sanam for taking so much care.

In a quandary about Chloe’s boarding arrangements before our impending 3-week visit to Delhi, a tip from our trusted vet resulted in us partaking of Sanam’s and Suraj’s warm welcome and hospitality. And we never looked back.
Cosseted, pampered and indulged, yet trained by Sanam in basics, Chloe came home a more confident, social and huggable dog!
We now know that we have a support system in place that is vastly superior to any comparable facilities offered by traditional kennel boarding.
We have no hesitation in recommending these wonderful people’s names to friends and acquaintances who may need to avail of such an arrangement in the future, and have already suggested this to many. |

Hi everyone... Just to let you all know that whenever I was busy and needed someone to look after Ruff (my best friend) I never had to look to far. Sanam and Suraj were always there and Ruff always enjoyed his stay with them. They were the only people who he was ok to be with other than me. He WAS looked after very well.

When I got Scrabble, my Lab-Doberman mix home, my big concern was a place to leave him when I went out of town. The idea of him being locked up in a kennel for days was unbearable for me and my husband. But at Perfect Pooch, I found the right solution. Sanam's dogs Laika and Magic made Scrabble feel at home, and instantly became his play buddies. When I came back to take Scrabble home, I found a happy, grinning dog who looked as if he had had a great time. Thanks to Perfect Pooch and Sanam, owning a dog in Mumbai just got a little easier.
